Kinda like Ferris Bueller’s day off but more Christmas Pyjamas and no Ferrari.
Christmas time can be chaotic especially if you don’t get a lot of time off work or you have to study. Maybe you’re struggling with last-minute shopping or rushing around to see friends and family but it’s so important to make time to relax and enjoy the holiday season! Even if you just spend a cosy day off indoors, waiting for last minute Christmas presents to be delivered! Here are my essentials for a fun, festive day at home…
Christmas pyjamas and a Christmas jumper
What’s better than a pyjama day? A Christmas pyjama day. Why not wear your most festive pyjamas and favourite cosy Christmas jumper for the entire day.
Lots of Christmas movies
Dig out all of your Christmas dvds and work your way through your Netflix list. Now is the time to catch up on all your favourite Christmas films!
Set up camp in the most festive room of the house
The setting is important! Find the most festive spot, switch all the fairy lights on and surround yourself with comfy blankets and cushions.
Pull out all the stops. Burn your most festive smelling candles for all those warm and fuzzy festive feels!
Treat yourself! Maybe have a mug of mulled wine, a Christmas cocktail, or a luxury hot chocolate. I also love to open some snacks like a tin of Christmas biscuits or a box of celebrations! You could even bake some quick and easy mince pies!
One of my favourite things to do! It can be so stressful wrapping presents last minute but so therapeutic if you’ve got the right atmosphere. Make some time, pop on some Christmas songs and wrap all those gifts you’ve spent the last month stressing over!
I just love a lazy, festive day at home. I definitely need it at this time of year! Time flies by so quickly in December so it’s great to slow things down a bit.
I hope you’re having a magical December and that you’re enjoying the last few days in the run-up to Christmas!
