May was another month of beautiful weather, long walks and productivity! Here are some of the things that made me smile this month…
The Royal Wedding
The wedding made me smile a lot. It also made me laugh, cry and squeal with excitement. I didn’t know a royal wedding would make me that emotional but it was so magical – I watched highlights for days afterwards. It just seemed to make everybody so happy!
Adventures in Stoke
I travelled to Stoke with Will to visit some of his family. The weather was incredible, we spent lots of time out in the sun and went to a Harry Potter themed escape room which was lots of fun!
Getting back into reading
In May I finally found time to get reading again! (Probably because of all of my TV shows finishing for the summer!) I finished reading the ABC Murders by Agatha Christie and started reading Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban – I definitely forgot how much I love that book and I am having so much fun reading it again.
Working on my blog
I stopped lazing around in the sun and decided to get productive! I made new icons for my Instagram and made a new summer-themed header image for my blog. I’ve finally got a nice theme going on which has made me very happy!
Spending time with friends
We went out for drinks to celebrate Lewis leaving to start a new chapter in America. It was very emotional but we’re all really excited for him. Plus we finally got some photos together which is very rare!
Finally having a desk space
Will and I set up a little office space in our spare room so we can now play our computer games in there and I can write blog posts at an actual desk rather than sat on the sofa. It’s already made me feel so much more productive.
Eve of Man by Giovanna and Tom Fletcher
I preordered a signed copy from Waterstones a while ago and this week it finally arrived! It’s such a gorgeous book and I can’t wait to start reading it once I’ve finished the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Lots more beautiful days!
May was a beautiful month. Even the rainy days looked magical now that everything is green and all the flowers have bloomed. Whilst I love Autumn and Winter, I love knowing that I can now come home from work and still have hours of sunlight left to enjoy.
It always feels like the month went far too fast until I write these posts and I really start to realise how much fun I’ve had. I hope that May was good to you and that you are having a lovely start to June!
I’m trying to post more regularly this month but you can always find me on Instagram (@shannonminns) Come and say hi!
