Blogmas Day 18: The Very Merry Christmas Tag

It’s Blogmas Day 18!

I can’t believe it’s only 1 week until Christmas Day. Since I haven’t done a Christmas tag this year I thought I’d share one with you today! I’ve chosen The Very Merry Christmas Tag which was created by Becky from A Place To Nest and her friend Jennifer from The Family Fudge.

1. What are your feelings on Black Friday” shopping? Are you brave and head out with the crowds, do you shop online or do you avoid it all
together?
I worked Black Friday this year and as I’m currently working in retail I was right in the middle of the madness. I chose not to go shopping after work but I did look at the sales online and get some of my Christmas shopping done.

2. What is your favourite gift you’ve ever given to someone else
love shopping for other people and I’m usually really happy with what I get everyone so I really can’t think of a favourite!

3. Christmas cards, yay or nay? If you do send cards what style do you go with? I.e. traditional (no photo), photo, funny or classy?
I love sending Christmas cards to my family. I usually choose a cute, festive design like gingerbread men or illustrated animals in Santa hats – no cheesy photo unless it’s a joke!

4. If you were a Christmas elf, what would your speciality be? Reindeer wrangler, chief decorator, toy maker, gift wrapper, baker or management?
Definitely gift wrapper or baker. Wrapping presents and baking festive treats are pretty much my two favourite things about Christmas!

5. Eggnog…do you pour a tall glass or do you throw it in the trash?
I don’t think I’ve had Eggnog but I have Snowballs which have Dutch Eggnog in so I guess I’d probably like it!

6. What is your Christmas decorating style? Classic red and green, shabby chic, country/farmhouse, colourful/jewel toned, etc? AND does your style change from year to year?
Since I’ve lived with Will we usually have a frosty theme – lots of white, green and silver, a little bit rustic. I’m sure we’ll switch things up a bit one year though because we both love the traditional style too.

7. Favorite childhood Christmas memory?
I have three favourites… 1) Going out to see the Christmas lights on all the houses 2) Waking up too early on Christmas morning and watching Christmas movies in bed until everyone was awake 3) Jumping into mum’s bed on Christmas morning for cups of tea and opening our stockings

8. If you could borrow Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve, where in the world would you go?
My first thought was New York City but anywhere with snow and lots of Christmas lights would be magical!

9. Favorite ornament (show, if possible)
I’ve got two little owls hanging on the tree which are both so cute and I love them. But also the silver bells because they remind me of The Polar Express!
