Blogmas Day 12: Baking Christmas Shortbread!

Welcome to Blogmas Day 12!

Today I thought I would share my favourite Christmas Shortbread recipe by Tanya Burr!

I have been using this recipe for a few years now. It makes lots of biscuits which is perfect if youโ€™re having guests over or if youโ€™d like to bring something with you when you visit family and friends.

You will need:
300g plain flour
200g softened butter
100g caster sugar
a few drops of vanilla extract

To start, preheat the oven to 130c and line a baking tray. Rub the flour and butter together until you have a crumbly consistency. Next, stir in the caster sugar and vanilla extract until a dough forms. On a floured surface, roll the dough out to 1cm thickness. Use a cutter to cut shapes into the dough and arrange them on the baking tray.

Pop them in the heated oven for 20 minutes or until they are a pale golden colour. Allow them to cool and dust them with icing sugar to look like snow!

I hope you are having a wonderful day!
