I can’t believe October has come and gone. I had such a lovely month full of baking, golden leaves and cosy afternoons! Here are some of the things that made me smile this month…
Fun day with Mum
My mum, my sister and me went shopping at our local crafts store. We had a look at all the Christmas decorations, ate fudge and planned some festive crafts!
Decorating pumpkins & decorating for Halloween
This year I started embracing Halloween early. I decorated pumpkins and the flat ready for Halloween!
Halloween shows & movies
My favourite thing about October is watching Halloween movies and autumnal TV shows. Baking Halloween biscuits whilst watching Paranorman, a lazy afternoon watching Hocus Pocus and the traditional Halloween night curled up with a hot drink and good company, watching Over The Garden Wall.
The Pumpkin Festival
This year I went to my first pumpkin festival. It was magical, full of community spirit, giant pumpkins and yummy food and drink! I will definitely be going again.
A day out with my grandparents
During a week off work, I went for a day out with my grandparents. We went shopping, had coffee and a lovely catch up!
This month Sundays became my most favourite day of the week. Pancakes, roast dinners and lots of lazy time curled up on the sofa watching American football with Will.
The Red Sky
Hurricane Ophelia started dragging in tropical air and dust from the Sahara which led to one magical day where the sun and the sky turned red and it got dark at lunchtime.
Return of some of my favourite TV shows
Riverdale, Jane The Virgin, The Walking Dead and Stranger Things all came back into my life during October and I can’t remember my life without them.
Tanya’s Christmas by Tanya Burr
Tanya’s Christmas was released! I wasn’t feeling well towards the end of the month but I was tucked up on the sofa reading Tanya’s Christmas and it made me so happy. I will write a post about it very soon! I am now so ready for Christmas shopping, decorating and baking.
I hope that you enjoyed October as much as I did! I love Autumn and Halloween so much but my local Christmas market will be up in a few days and I’ve already got festive diffusers and candles around the flat! It’s still too early for me to start listening to Christmas music and start baking mince pies but give it 2 weeks and I’m sure I’ll be in full Christmas mode!
