Cooler weather, warmer clothes, cosy blankets and the knowledge that pumpkins, bonfires and golden leaves are just around the corner! September is the start of my favourite time of year.
Rewatching Gilmore Girls
There’s nothing like watching Lorelai and Rory walking around Stars Hollow surrounded by pumpkins and golden leaves to get me feeling excited for Autumn!
Finally getting to see Dunkirk
Whilst the film didn’t really make me smile it was an amazing experience. I didn’t get to see it in August because I had an ear infection so it was great to finally get out the house to watch it.
Both my dad and my sister have their birthdays in September! It was great to spend some time celebrating with my family, plenty of food and great movies.
TV shows returning
Another one of my favourite things about Autumn: One by one all the TV shows I haven’t had in my life since April all start returning and suddenly it’s like they never left!
Visiting my grandparents
I love spending time with my Nan and Grandad. My nan bought mince pies and showed us her latest knitting project (the cosiest bobble hats in every colour). The whole evening was filled with lots of laughter and a long overdue catch-up!
Enjoying the start of Autumn
All the little things like drinking a hot chocolate, needing a coat and scarf, chilly evenings watching movies under a blanket, Halloween decorations appearing in the shops… Christmas decorations appearing in the shops.
An autumnal shopping trip with my sister
I finished work early on a Friday so we went for autumnal coffees, went on a hunt for autumnal things in all of the shops and bought some Halloween decorations!
I hope you all had a lovely month!
I am so excited for more Autumnal adventures in October.
