“Who I am and why I am here”

“Who I am and why I am here”

This morning I was reading some posts and saw the Blogging 101 assignment: “Who I am and why I am here”.

I’ve been posting for a few weeks now but it never hurts to introduce yourself to everyone that is reading your blog for the first time.

I’m Shannon. I am from England and I am currently studying Media Culture and Production at university.

For me, this blog is a place where I can talk about all the YA novels I’ve been reading over the last couple of years. I can also talk about signings and book releases that I can’t wait to talk about. Basically it’s a place where I can chat as much as I want about books without annoying the people in my life who have to hear about these things all of the time!!

I really enjoy connecting with people who love books as much as I do so I love receiving comments and emails about books that my readers have been enjoying! I also have an Instagram account that I run alongside this blog that is also a great place to chat about books and fandoms. You can also reach me on Twitter – check my About Me page on this blog to see my contact details. Finally, I love to connect with authors and their assistants. I have taken requests to read books and review them and I am happy to interview authors and help get their name out there!!!

This blog is a lot of fun to run but it is also really important to me. In the future I hope to get a job in marketing in the publishing industry. This blog is helping me to get in touch with authors and readers every day and having this knowledge and experience is a really good start in getting me to where I want to be. For now, I hope to connect with more bookworms and I hope to build up my followers and views. – And of course persuade people to read more books!!!!
